I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the “Meet my Character”
chain. The lovely and talented author Sandi Wallace invited me to take part
last week. It’s a great opportunity to showcase Taylor Bridges and the
forthcoming series in 8 simple questions. I’ve tagged my Pantera Press stable
mates, John M Green and Sulari Gentill to continue the chain.
1.) What is the name of your character?
“Taylor Bridges.”
2.) Is he fictional or a historic person?
“Taylor is a fictional character created for my first novel, The
Crossing.”
3.) When and where is the story set?
“The Crossing is the first of my Taylor Bridges series, set recently in
the wilderness of Tasmania.”
4.) What should we know about him?
“Taylor is an accidental hero. A Park Ranger who stumbles into a murder
case and finds himself a critical part of the investigation.”
5.) What is the main conflict?
“What messes up his life? Taylor is driven by a personal tragedy, the
death of his own daughter, and the string of dead girls in Glorys Crossing cuts
just a little close to the nerve.”
6.) What is the personal goal of the character?
“Redemption. If Taylor can save the last girl missing in this string of
murders, perhaps he can forgive himself for the loss of his own child.”
7.) Is there a working title for this novel, and can we read more about
it?
“More than a working title, The Crossing is now in its second printing
and the vanguard for its sequels, The Falls and The Reach due for release in
2015.”
8.) When can we expect the book to be published or when was it
published?
“The Crossing was first published in 2011 and reprinted in 2013. It’s
available from all good book stores, plus e-book through Amazon and Apple
Stores.”
